Can anyone tell me how to get from Dubrovnik, Croatia to Budapest, Hungary following a Rick Steve's tour? Had I known it was this hard I would never have signed up. Flights take up to 20 plus hours!!!! This is my second post as the first went unanswered so I hope someone knows. Trips ends on the 7th day of July. We could leave the evening before if we had to. Please list a flight number or train number if you can. Thanks again

Since you haven't provided any travel dates I've looked for flights on 31 May 2012: Croatia Airlines leaving DBV at 12:50pm, arriving at ZAGreb 1:45pm, departing at 3:10pm arriving in BUDapest at 4:05pm (so a total journey time of 3 hours and 15 minutes. On 31 May fare is EUR 318 one-way. You'll find alternative connections via Vienna (also with a total journey time of just over three hours).

The trip ends the morning of July 7th. I was unable to find a fligtht the night of the 6th or anytime on the 7th. Thnaks

Saturday indeed is a bit tougher but here are two suggestions that I can see as available on July 7th: 1) Lufthansa: Dep DBV 15:55, arr FRA 18:00, dep FRA 20:55 arr BUD 22:30 (total journey time of 6:35 hrs), fare EUR 354.- 2) Croatia Airlines and Austrian: Dep DBV 06:25, arr ZAG 07:20, dep ZAG 08:05, arr VIE 09:05, dep VIE 10:00, arr BUD 10:50 (total journey time of 4:25 hrs), fare EUR 507.-
