tgv to Avignon

Has anyone taken the Tgv from CDG airport to Avignon?
I will be arriving in CDG and it seems there is a tgv station in the airport without having to go through the Gare de Lyon separately. Also... any train suggestions from Avignon to Lyon?

Yes, there is a TGV station at Terminal 2. Direct TGVs to Avignon depart at 06:58, 08:30, 09:58, 11:40, and 13:58. There is TGV service at least once an hour between the Avignon TGV station and Lyon. There also is regional train service between Avignon Centre and Lyon.

Thanks for the info! Do you have an idea how much tickets cost for tgv and regional? I'm trying to decide on purchasing a eurail.

CDG-Avignon: Depending upon the departure time (peak or off-peak hours) the standard 2nd class fare ranges from €94 to €113. Booked well in advance (up to three months allowed), you can get a Prem's fare as low as €30. Avignon-Lyon: The standard 2nd class fare on a TGV is €51. Booked well in advance, you can get a Prem's fare as low as €20. The 2nd class fare for regional trains is €32.30. No discounts, open seating, and no reservations possible. Prem's tickets are for a specific departure date and time and are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Book at either voyages-sncf.com (in French) or tgv-europe.com. To keep the tgv-europe site in English and to avoid being bumped to the Rail Europe site which doesn't offer discount fares, choose Great Britain as your ticket retrieval country. Don't worry. You will either be able to print your own tickets or pick them up at any SNCF station in France. With a railpass you will need to buy seat reservations for TGVs. They're only 4-5 euro if bought in France. However, SNCF limits the number of seats it allocates to passholders. People have reported being told all passholder seats were gone on a particular train even though full fare tickets were still available. If you have a pass and must take a particular TGV, it would be smart to buy seat reservations in advance from Rail Europe. They'll cost more and you'll have to pay for having them shipped to your home, but you'll be guaranteed a seat.
