We just returned from a month in Switzerland and Italy. I posted a question months ago about travel from Wengen, SW to Vernazza, CT in Italy. We did it! Got tickets at airport in Zurich for connections. We had 7 transfers in one day, but it's possible for 65 plus year olds to do this and get to Vernazza in time for dinner. One suggestion: travel with small suitcase. Thank you to the readers who suggested this option.

I think the key to successful travel everywhere is to pack minimally. Congrats on making all those 7 connections accurately - that is an accomplishment for any tourist.

You need to come to our monthly meeting and give us a report. Seven changes in one days earns you at least a free cup of coffee. Our best is four. Panera, Aspen Grove shopping center, NW corner of Santa Fe and Mineral, 10 AM. Look for the Blue and Gold book on the table.
