After a week in Paris I will be traveling to Belgium and Amsterdam. What is the most financially sound way for train travel, i.e. purchase a pass or buy individual tickets. I will be spending a week in Amsterdam, Bruges, Brussels and a day trip to Antwerp. Appreciate any suggestions.

Go with individual tickets. For Paris to Brussels use the high-speed Thalys train. For the cheapest fares purchase in advance 90 days in advance via http://www.thalys.com. For all the other places use the regular inter-city train, simply purchase your ticket at the station on the day of your journey.
