Dolomite hiking

I leave for the Dolomites on Weds. I just have 3 full days, based in Castelrotto. Does anyone have suggestions on the best day hikes for me? Thanks!!!

Do you have Rick Steves Italy guide book? He mentions several hikes in the Alpe di Siusi that we intend to follow in mid September.

We are avid hiker's and would not normally turn to Rick Steves guides for hiking suggestions. However, the two hikes he recommends from Alpe di Siusi, namely the hike to Bolzano and the circuit around Sasso Piatto and Sasso Longo are among our favorites anywhere. I recommend them both. I will say that we tarried a bit on the latter, and did not have time to complete the whole circuit. We took a small gondola (two peoplenper cabin) up from Gardena Pass to the notch between the two mountains, and hiked back from there. The terrain was fascinating and this variation made for a fun hike.
