Has anyone had problems putting Rick's 21" Roll-Aboard bag in the overhead bin on an Aer Lingus flight (short haul, LHR-DUB)? Or were you forced to check the bag? Thanks.

I have that exact suitcase and while I didn't take your particular airline, I can tell you that on a short haul intra Europe flight on Air France we had to check it. We flew from Venice to Paris to catch our long flight back to Salt Lake City and had to check it in Venice even though on the flight from Paris to SLC (Delta) it would have been fine.

I haven't had any trouble carrying it on flights between LHR-AMS and LHR-CDG, but those flights were operated by British Airways. I believe BA and Aer Lingus both use Airbus planes for short haul flights, but they may be different configurations.
