we are booked on a US Airways Flight from the USA to Rome. We have a connecting flight from Rome to Athens on Alitalia with 1.5 hrs between the 2 flights. Is that sufficient?
We will not check in - only carry on. Do we have to clear customs/security in Rome prior to departing to Athens?

You will go through immigrations in Rome and customs in Athens. It will be sufficient if US Air is on time. Try to get a seat near the exit so that you can get off the plane quicker. You will have to go through security prior to the Athens flight.
