We are staying at a house in Cumbria in northern England. We want to drive to Edinburgh and then through the countryside for two or three days. Is there a place to park outside of Edinburgh and take the train into the city? We are wary of trying to drive in Edinburgh itself. Same with Glasgow on our return back to Cumbria. What is the best way to do this?
