Hi, my travel book shows there is an overnight "Trenhotel 00996" from Barcelona to Malaga, depart 21.45 arrive 08.30, but I cannot find it online...not on raileurope.com or renfre. I hope this still exists!! Anyone know how to find and reserve this train?

According to an article I found, Renfe eliminated that night train between Barcelona and Malage last June, replacing it with AVE service that only takes 5.5 hours.

You are most welcome! We are in Spain right now, and it is lovely. Just taking a much needed break to check email and websites. If you really want a night train, I believe there still is one from Barcelona to Granada. Or is you decide on the AVe to Malaga, it looks like the discounted Web tickets might be the way to go. (Depending on when you are traveling).
