we will be in Rovinj in sept and want to get to venice. what is the best way train?, nite train?, bus? really dont want to travel to zagreb. could possibly leave from Ljubljana train? night train?, bus. help need advice.

There are buses direct to Mestre. It takes 4 hours.

You could also take a highspeed ferry directly from Rovinj to Venice. You can find the schedules and other info here: www.venezialines.com Ferry leaves Rovinj at 0700 and arrives Venice at 1030.
