My family will be arriving in florence via train from geneva and would like to rent a car for our week in tuscany. Where would you recommend that we rent from (location and company) that would be convenient to the main train station in Florence (santa maria)?

There are several rental agencies on the Ogno Borgnissanti - a road that runs parallel to the Arno and leads you out of Florence. Just be sure to stay straight on it as you leave so that you don't unintentionally drive into neighborhoods that are off-limits to non-resident drivers. Make sure the rental agent shows you on a map.
