Hi Jose. Pisa is doable in this time frame, but don't waste your time trying to "see" Florence in one day. I would suggest going to Lucca if you have time after Pisa.

Pisa works because a few hours in Pisa is plenty, leaving more than enough travel time to and from Livorno. Trying to squeeze in Florence would be similar to a National Lampoon Vacation stop: get off the train, take a picture, get on the first train so you can get back in time. I would strongly advise against trying to do too much on this cruise stop. Things in Italy move slow, everything always takes longer than it should. When you're trying to hurry, it can feel like wading through quicksand. Meanwhile the ship will leave without you. Check out cruisecritic.com. Look at what others chose to do on their time in port. Although the majority seem to buy ship excursions, enough go on their own to give you an idea what is or isn't doable during your time in port. Sometimes there is valuable information such as where exactly your ship will dock (can be important).
