Fly vs. Train

I'm going to try to incorporate parts of France into my traditional all-British itinerary this year. Do you think I'd be better off flying into Paris and out via London? or flying into London and just taking the train to Paris? Any ideas? Thank you.

Kristie, In those circumstances, I'd likely use open-jaw flights, into either London or Paris and return home from the other city.
