eve, It would help if you could provide some further information. For example, have you been to Europe before? What locations are you interested in seeing in each of the countries you mentioned? It's difficult to provide an answer without some idea on your circumstances. I have a few "general comments" though: > A month is not a long time for visiting five countries that are such a huge geographical distance apart. Given the time and effort to get there, I'd suggest visiting Greece on a future visit. > If you haven't been to Europe before, starting in a country like Ireland would provide less of a "culture shock" than some of the other countries, and of course the benefit of a common language. > Using "open jaw" flights would absolutely be the best idea! One possibility would be inbound to Dublin and outbound from Rome. > You might find it helpful to pre-read the Guidebook Europe Through The Back Door before you get too far in your planning. > In planning an efficient travel route, it's extremely important to allow for adequate travel time between destinations, which includes time spent checking in & out of Hotels, travel to airports or train stations, waiting time, etc. Good luck with your planning!

Thanks for the info. We reservations for Italy. (no time frame yet) bought at a charity auction/so we can do it any time during the trip. We will be visitng Venice, Murano , train to Florence. We plan to add Rome and possibly Naples area to trip. Is Paris (3 days) and Spain for a week to 10 days) workable?
