Does anyone have experience with taking the SENA bus to Sinea from Rome? Looks to leave from the Tibertina station, but we are unsure of where it drops us in Siena. Site is not super helpful. How easy is this bus system to navigate/use? Is there a better way to Siena from Rome?
Many people prefer the bus for this route because it takes you directly to the center of Siena. The train station is outside of town. It's a five-minute bus ride from the station to the city center.
melissa,
If you click on stopsyou get http://sena.busweb.it/comuni/ShowMappa.asp?id_expl=37335494
The stop at piazza Gramsci is the bus station at the top of the town.
Much better than the train since it drops you off in the center of town. If you decide to take the train with an evening arrival and need to take a taxi into town, you'll need to call one.
