Will I have to sleep in the aiport to make this flight? I'm having trouble finding cheap airfare for november travel...a flight leaving at 5:55am is the only one I'm able to find.
Suggestions?

Where are you going? Is this your return to Seattle?
Yes, I will be returning home to Seattle on the 24th.
5:55am is the cheapest option that will have me arriving home on Saturday. All other flights arrive on Sunday and I think i'll be cutting it close for work the next day. I don't want to be a zombie.
Is this workable?
Before you decide to spend the night at the airport, check www.sleepinginairports.net. It may work our just fine. Or you can take a taxi.
I had the same problem with leaving Prague in October. The cheapest flight left at 6:10am. I decided it just wasn't worth it. The same flight had a 6 hr layover in the states too. I paid a little more for a much better flight.
You probably will have plenty of company. This is not uncommon. Last June our two sons had 6am flights out of Rome. They stayed in Rome till around mid night or so, caught tthe next to last Leonard Express run to the airport around 1 AM or so and found lots of company when they got there. Their plan was to stay up all night so that they would sleep well on the return flight to Chicago. They did.
Thank you for all your suggestions!
I think i'm going to wait a few more days and see if the situation improves. If i can get a better time, great- but sleeping at the airport can't be that bad. It's all part of the adventure. I just don't want to risk missing my flight home!
We had a 6Am departure from Rome last summer. We got up early and a taxi took us directly to the airport. It was a 30 minute drive with no traffic at the hour we left. Even though it was the week that they had the terrorist alert(aug 2006) we didn't need the amount of time to check in that was recommended and we sat around for ever.
so glad to see this post, I have a 6 a.m. flight from Rome back to Portland next month and wondered the same thing (should we just stay at the airport?)...I don't know if it is worth just getting a few hours sleep only to worry that the cab won't show up on time, that happened to me once in Greece...and if the rule is two hours early for an international flight, and we need 50 minutes to get to the airport it is hardly worth the cost of a room.
