For those of you that know...what is the best way to travel between Nice and Barcelona?

Currently Vueling is the only budget airline that flies Nice-Barcelona. There is a single late-night flight and there are some days of the week when there is no flight at all.
The best site for detailed train timetables is www.bahn.de, the German Rail site. Click on the drop-down flag menu for English. After you get summary timetables for Nice-Barcelona, click on the arrow to the left of each departure time to see the connecting points.

Dianna - I don't usually take exception to my buddy Steve's suggestion BUT - In this case I must. I have driven that route about 6 times and ABSOLUTELY love it !!!! Yes, there is a drop charge and, in my humble opinion , worth every cent!!! So many places to stop and see on the way as opposed to taking a very nice train ride and catching only a quick glimpse as you fly by. I vote for the car.
