Mid August, leaving from Como,Italy to the airport in Malpensa, how do I get there via transportation?

If the timing is right, you can take a bus directly from Como to Malpensa. However, service is infrequent. For more frequent service, take a train to Milano Centrale. Two bus companies provide service from there to Malpensa. Read the details here: http://tinyurl.com/2v5j3a.

You might want to do some additional research. I think that the Malpensa Express, a rail connection between the airport and a station in Milan (not the main station) also has a rail connection between Como and the airport.

I've learned that there is a bus that leaves from Piazza Cavour in Como to Malpensa Airport. One hour ride, give or take. $13 Eu. Leaves at 10:42am and the bus from Como to Malpensa also leaves later again in the evening. Two trips a day.
One needs to make a reservation for the bus but pay upon departure.
Need reservations but purchase the ticket at the bus.
