40 minutes connection time in Amsterdam

I am traveling from Athens, Greece to Billund, Denmark. I have 40 min connection time in Amsterdam. I found this at so both flights are KLM flight. Still my concern is that I fly from a Schengen Country to a non-Schengen Country. How much delay should I expect at Amsterdam? I am traveling with a non EU passport (US Citizen). Please share any experience you may have traveling to Denmark via Amsterdam. Thank you!

Greece, Denmark, and Holland are all Schengen countries. As long as your flight arrives on time, you should be able to just make your connecting flight. I wouldn't check any baggage though, it probably wouldn't make it to the next flight.

Thank you.

I thought Denmark was not part of the Schengen because they do not have the euro but you are correct ( ).

So that means I do not have to go through passport control! Great! Thanks!

PS today I was able to get flights on Lufthansa for the same price with a little better connection time so we will fly Lufthansa... Let's hope it will not reain while we are there....

I just want to put it out there that just because you are flying from one Schengen country to another through Schiphol does not necessarily mean you will not go through passport control.

I have flown from AMS to Geneva (after Switzerland joined Schengen), to Prague, and to Vienna and had to go through passport control. It can depend on what gate you are flying in or out of.
