Could anyone share their advice or experience on travel options (rail/ taxi/ shuttle/ donkey) from the port in Civitavecchia to Rome? Thanks.

There are three or four trains an hour from Civitavecchia to Rome. Fares vary according to the type of train (regional, EuroStar Italia, InterCity). The cheapest is around €5.00. See the timetables and fares at www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html.
