Has anyone in Rick Steves Land ever taken European delivery of an automobile (i.e. Mercedes, BMW, etc...)? And how did that work out for you? Please post your experiences.

Took delivery of a Volvo a few years ago. Great experience; the discount on the car (and the 2 free round trip plane tickets) basically paid for the entire trip. Having my own car allowed me to drive places (like eastern europe) that are often off-limits in a rental car. Highly recommended.
