I will arrive in Rome at 10:45.What would be the best choice of travel to salerno, the least expensive but fastest. I realize the fastest will be the most costly however it depends on the difference in price and time. Thanks for your help.Judy

If you use the Italian Rail Website, you can see the different options available. The least expensive route is also the longest, but the options seem to vary from 2:08 travel time, to 2:48. Options may change based on the day of the week you are looking at, too.
Although the ES (Eurostar Italia) and the AV (Alto Velocita) are the most expensive routes, remember too that they are also the most comfortable trains with working air conditioning. The IC trains (Intercity) may vary.
