I am looking into railpasses for my upcoming trip, and if I buy a second class railpass, can I make a reservation in a first class overnight train on the elipsos from Paris to Barcelona? On the raileurope site it looks like I can, but I'm not sure if there would be any additional fees on top of the reservation fee. Thanks.

Hi Mike,
You certainly can. It appears to be no difference in the reservation fee based on which pass you have. This is according to the train reservation information located here on ricksteves.com.

Additional fees?
RailEurope charges you more than the in-Europe price and then charges you to ship the reservations. Isn't that "additional fees" enough?
