What's the best place to purchase? DB BAHN won't let me and the TGV-Europe won't either. Any other thoughts?

I bought my Vienna to Venice ticket (not the overnight but the regular high-speed train) a couple years ago from the OBB (Austrian Railways) site. I think the sales part is all in German but perhaps someone here can help or you can do a rudimentary translation in google. Definitely check the OBB site, though, because sometimes you can get discounts (my ticket was only 30 euros or so).
Edit: Looks like they added an English sales page! Look for the prices with the clover on them, those are the discounted fares. Just print out the ticket and show it on the train, that's all I had to do. Good luck!
