Good choice! Everyone knows that there is absolutely nothing at all worth seeing between Barcelona and Munich (except maybe southern France, Switzerland, northern Italy). Oh, well.

Flying would definitely be faster! Although, you might save some money traveling by train if you already have a railpass (depending on the pass, of course).
