Hi: I want to be able to travel to all zones in London without a problem. I think the best way to do that is to purchase an Oyster card. Can a person buy Oyster cards at any tube station?
Thanks, Jane
For people's information, not all overland stations in zone 1-6 accept Oyster pay as you go.
The Transport for London site says that Oyster cards are sold at most Tube stations. If you want to take advantage of the 2for1 offers associated with National Rail PAPER travelcards that are only sold at mainline train stations, buy those travelcards for the day(s) you plan to visit a place on the list and use your Oyster card for all other days. Go here for details and to print the vouchers you'll need to take with you to London.
