We have reserved a room for 4 days in Paris at the Hotel La Serre. Anybody have any experiance with that hotel ? Their restaurant is very good so we assumed the hotel (at the Rue Cler)should be ok, we hope.

Hi Ted,
... If you want to be served in a civil fashion in their restaurant, then always leave a modest (not large, now) tip. Those folks will remember you from your last trip to their restaurant, believe me. I don't care what it says on the check about "service included", leave a tip. P

Thanks for the response, we have been to their restaurant on our last two trips to paris and enjoyed the food. The hotel is another matter I read about 15-20 reviews on Tripadvisor, that was enough, I canceled our reservation (at a cost of 13.20 euros) and booked the Suez in the Latin Quarter.

Ted . I read the reveiws, and I think you made a good choice in cancelling and rebooking else where.
