A couple of months ago the NY Times had another article on Open Skies and the devastating effect it may have on the economy of New York City. Currently most all transatlantic air freight enters the US into JFK or Newark. When open skies take full effect, that same cargo will be dispersed across the US. Good for those areaa not so much for NYC. Turns out the British Airways is one of the largest private sector employers in NYC; go figure.
