Happening Now>BOS - FCO; BOS- CTA; Alitalia RT fares sales

FYI:
Boston Globe 1/31/14
http://www.alitalia.com

Travel Dates March 2- April 13, 2014; Prices are RT, Include Taxes & Fees.
Advanced Purchase 14 days; Minimum stay 10 days, Maximum stay 1 month.
BOS - FCO NStop $949
BOS- CAT $1050

I played around with dates and found the norms: Stay away from weekend dates and you save $250-$500 per segment; some weekend dates show limited seats left.

I did March 3, Wed to March 18, Tuesday: BOS -FCO RT and it came out $949.30pp
Considering air pricing I thought this was a decent sale deal I realize there's better with more research but wanted to share for those who are traveling or have the flexibility to go.

I posted this on the Country Forum site, too. Still adapting to new site here, want folks to catch this thread.
If you can go, enjoy!

Those are pretty much normal fares for early Spring departures. Boston and some Mid Atlantic cities often have pretty good airfares non-peak months as they're high traffic cities and closer to Europe.
You threw me off with CAT. Cat Island, Bahamas? Oh, you mean CTA.
If you went a few days prior to 3/3/2014, you might get in on the tail end of the Winter flights for less. I recently booked European flights for $728 round trip 3/25/2014 from ATL-BUD and PRG-ATL--one day sales.
I wouldn't be surprised to see some more one day airfare sales for travel in the next few months.
