we are taking the train from Firenze to Milan Italy. we are arriving @ the Porta Genova station. we would like to check our luggage @ the train station but an italo agent told us there were no facilities. We are going to The Last Supper, and you are not allowed yo bring in bags. Thanks

Richard, change your train to Trenitalia from Italo. There is a staffed left luggage facility in Milano Centrale.

I don't believe Italo goes to Porto Genova. Their website says Milano Rogredo, which is south east of the city center, and Milano Porto Garibaldi, which is north west of the city center.

None of them is particularly close. Have a look at a map. Google maps is pretty good. The nearest station is Milano Cadorna on the FerrovieNord line north to Malpensa airport which is within easy walking distance. No trains from Florence call there. Leave your bags at Milano Centrale as suggested above and take the Metro a few stops and walk.

From Milano Centrale take the "Green" Metro line to Cadorna Station. Its about 3/8 of a mile (easy 10 minute walk). On google maps and other Italian maps its referred to as "Museo Cenacolo Vinciano" (Museum of da Vinci's Last Supper) and it is in the Santa Maria della Grazie church. It's at the corner of Corso Magenta and Via Caradosso. Call to see if you can get a reservation. That can be difficult as tour companies suck them all up. If you just show up you still may be able to get in.
The "Green" Metro line actually passes through Porta Garibaldi station, but I don't know anything about the locker situation there and Centrale is a sure thing.
