I will be traveling to Munich at the end of October with a two year old. I would also like to see Prague. Is it a day trip to Prague totally unrealistic? If so, would one night be sufficient? What is the best way to go? Bus? Train? Are night trains worth looking into? My hotel in Munich is paid for, so I'd like to keep the number of nights I pay for a hotel elsewhere as minimal as possible.
Prague is way to far for a day trip especially with a two year old. You need twice as much time with a two year old - naps, feeding, etc. You use to have to go to Nurnburg and a bus to Prague but now, I think, you can go directly from Munich. Go to bahn.de. That will give you the schedule and price.
