can i take a new laptop on a flight to spain as hand luggage or do i have to put in my suit case thanks

I fly with a laptop and have NEVER had to check it in due to the airlines I fly not letting it on as carry-on but you had better check with airline that you are flying to spain on.

Laptops are prevalent today, quite ubiquitous. I would absolutely refuse to check my laptop, to the point of not boarding. Every airline I've flown with my laptop, on both domestic US, domestic UK and many inter-EU flights - have never denied my laptop in the cabin. In some cases, I have to travel with two laptops and still have no trouble. There's no guarantee my laptop will arrive if it's checked, and airline baggage loss and damage policies specifically exclude computers from coverage.
