Herculaneum and archeological museum at Naples

I will use Sorrento as a base to visit Herculaneum and archeological museum. How can I go both sites in one day from Sorrento? By bus? By train? It is likely I will go to Herculaneum first then the museum. Anyone knows how to go to archeological museum from Herculaneum? What is the train schedule from Naples going back to Sorrento?
