I am trying to decide whether to book a car from them (traveling in Italy mostly by train except for my time in Tuscany). I have read good reviews about them but I am afraid that I will be assigned to bad agency. Foe example I have read mixed reviews about Maggiore Car Rental. Has anyone had a bad/good experience with ECR?

Then book directly with car rental agency if concerned about a consolidater sending you to someone else.

It is less than half the price than booking directly. I was just trying to get a sense of what others have experience using this service. I booked with them yesterday and I was assigned to Budget. I guess all I can do now is hope that it will go smoothly (I check with Budget and if I would have booked with them directly I would have paid more than twice as much for the same class of car, etc.).
