We're planning to take the train to Oxford from London, see Blenheim, and then take the train out to Moreton-in-Marsh that evening. Can we leave our luggage at the train station, or is there somewhere close by where we could leave it?

There are no left luggage facilities at Oxford railway station. The Oxford Backpackers Hostel used to offer a service for a small fee to non residents - check if they still do so (oxford@hostels.co.uk). They are half way to the centre of Oxford though (albeit only about 5 mins).
