Hi We are going to be in Barceloan from 6/30-13 to July 4th- arrive very alte- 3 adult and 1 9 yo any suggestion with hotels and area to stay? and what you would recommend to do in those few days

We are taking a cruise in Oct. from Barcelona and the cruise line suggested the hotel for us. Montblanc ($150/ea) includes complementary breakfast. Hope this helps.

So much is based on your personal likes, wants and needs. I like the area near Placa Catalunya and normally opt for budget choices with good reviews. We stayed at Hostal Campi. It's a great budget option - well located, clean, reasonably priced (we paid 62 euros per night for a double). We had showers down the hall (only half the rooms have ensuite) and no air conditioning in our room (not a problem in April, but could be in July). Check out tripadvisor.com, view the choices on a map to see where each choice is located. After reading reviews, looking at pictures and comparing prices, you should have a pretty good idea which will work best for you.
