Changing trains in Paris

I have train reservations from Caen to Lausanne. Our train goes from Caen to Paris St. Lazare arriving at 3:16 pm; train departs from Paris Gare-Lyon at 3:58. What is the best way to get from Lazare to Gare-Lyon in that amount of time?

Metro line 14 goes directly from Saint-Lazare to Gare de Lyon in 9 minutes.

Thank you.
Not sure how lively we can step! Perhaps a taxi would be better?

The Metro is fast but you will want to step lively as there is a fair amount of walking between the subway and the train stations. The regional transport authority can show the route and estimate times (rather optimistically) http://www.ratp.fr/en/ratp/c_5000/accueil/
This blog www.parisbytrain.com is also helpful about train stations. I print out key maps to help with the signs which indicate where to go.

No. A taxi will take much longer. Look at a map. It'd be a miracle if a taxi could do it in thirty minutes, plus the time to find one, get in and out of the stations and into the cab.
