I didn't realize you were going so soon. Good! It means you'll miss the bad weather that is predicted.

Have fun, and take lots of pictures. We'll see you at our Travel Group Meeting the 21st.

Jane - yip....I wanted to see the Chihuly glass in Seattle since I have done some glassing blowing classes and fusing here at Tulsa Glass Blowing school and of course go up in the needle. Then we are headed to Edmonds. Then maybe venture to Victoria on Thursday. Going thru Denver both ways. Hope we down have bad weather coming home.

Be sure to check the Seattle weather forecast before you leave home. I live there some of the time, like now, and will be going to Edmonds on Saturday. It has been about 10 to 15 F below normal for low night time temps and maybe 10F below day time highs this last couple of week. Be sure to bring some warm clothes and "layer" them so that if things warm up you can remove some. Enjoy Seattle and the RS activities as I have, having gone to each years reunions after having taken 14 RS tours. I will be going back to Hawaii on Jan 19 to find some warmth. charlie

Hope you all have a great time at the tour reunions and "Test Drive" sessions. I won't be able to attend this year, so will just have to reminisce. However I'll try to tune in to a few of the streaming sessions.

Kim,
Good for you! How lucky to meet up with your tour guides...and to test drive other tours of interest. One of these days I might make the trek to Edmonds.
Have fun!

I found Edmonds to be nearly the "perfect" small town and have visited several times-not just for the Reunions. There are some wonderful small stores there-one for cheeses (and other goodies) on the main street and one for wines, local and otherwise, immediately come to mind. I'm sorry I can't recall the shop names, but the town is so small, it would be hard to miss either of them if you are just walking around town. Fun shopping for "indoor" picnics. Also try Arnie's at the harbor. Not going this year-sigh......Have a great time, all who will be in attendance. It's a really fun experience.

I enjoyed watching about 4 hours late last night (UK time) but had to give up after Sicily. Great fun and much better video streaming than previous years. No drop out.

I wish I could see the bits I missed.

Kim, I hope you had a great time! - and all the other folk who went too.

Nigel, I seem to recall that the presentations (links) from last year were posted a few weeks after the reunion. Watch the website for further information, just in case I'm right about that.

It was fun to go across on the ferry for the day and attend. It was also funny to see downtown Edmonds transformed by large groups of baby boomers trooping back and forth between the venues. I enjoyed how friendly people were. It was like there was a "no grumps" policy for the sessions. Seriously, there always seems to such nice people at any Rick Steves event I attend.

Nigel - We had a great time. think we saw most of the test drive tours that were in the auditorium. They were all good.

carol - we also went across on the ferry to Kingston for the morning one day. Walking around Edmonds and seeing crowds was neat

Probably go again but in 2-3 years. We live in OK, so it gets pricey for airlines, rental car, and hotel.

Judy - You have to go sometime It was fun

Made it home to OK and it is foggy, rainy and cold. Off to work tomorrow to pay for my travels :)
