Wishing Rick the Best!

We so appreciated the information shared by Rick recently about his medical issues. Having Rick as part of our trips for decades now, including always having his books with us ("taking Rick with us"), audio tours, luggage, accessories AND a few tours....Rick has been with us and supported our travel experiences for close to 40 years! And his way of expressing travel experiences, and journeys, appears to be how he is approaching his medical issues - a journey of sorts. Well, we KNOW positive attitude can make a world (get it, world) of difference - so we NOW support YOU, Rick, in this, albeit challenging, journey!

My brother went through this last year and he is doing great. All the best to you, Rick as you deal with these issues.

About the time Rick will be having surgery, I'll be on one of his tours of Turkey.

Starting in 1993, I organized 14 trips abroad independently but have been on two Rick Steves tours in recent years with the third coming. I have also met Rick three times -- once at an inner-city school in Chicago where his daughter was a teacher -- to hear his travel lecture.

I'll be thinking of Rick the whole time in Turkey. I know he'd say to have a great adventure and not bother about him, but my thoughts will be focused on Rick in Seattle.

I consider him a brother, friend and teacher extraordinaire.
