Is there anyone who has been on the Alpine tour and can tell me the availability of Wifi? I can't imagine that in the Berner Oberland there will be access. My husband will need to be able to receive emails from work (ugh) All I need is the ability to receive and send texts & pics to my kids.

Why in the world do you think you wouldn't have wifi in the BO?? On the contrary my Murren, Switzerland wifi was MUCH better than my Paris hotel's wifi. Of course you'll have wifi.

Because it's so beautiful, I must be crazy for thinking about keeping connected to the outside world!
No problem with WiFi in any of Switzerland on our trip in June of this year. In fact Rick Steves guidebook said that it was not free in two of our hotels but it was!
Cynthia, of all the people we've taken to Europe (100+) over the years the most common misconception shared among them is that Europe is behind the USA on technology and infrastructure. What an eye-opening experience when they suddenly realize the good ole USA may actually have some catching up to do!

Thankfully, his office will pay for it. Frankly, I was hoping for not so great cell service in the alps, just so they would leave him alone!
