Who's Going on the Best of Europe Tour May 24 – June 13?

Let's see if we can get a list going of who will be on this tour!

I'll start.

I'm going with my wife. We are in our early 30's. This is our first Rick Steve's trip. The places I'm most excited to see are Rothenburg, the Rhine Valley and Cinque Terre! I can't wait to try all of the new cuisines and have read that there is nothing like the food from Italy, where you will literally be eating fresh vegetables that were picked that morning! Not a big seafood fan, but I've decided that I'm going to try all of the local favorites :)

We'll be getting to Amsterdam a few days early in order to get over jet lag and tour the town. Can't wait to go!

What about you?

I'll be on the BOE leaving May 3rd. What an exciting trip we have to look forward to! I cant even say which cities I'm most excited to visit, because the itinerary is so interesting that each place is a "can't wait to see" place! I hope you're able to meet a few tourmates in adance here.

Have a great time!

Hi!

I'm traveling solo and will be just turning 60 (senior discounts anyone? :) ). This is also my first Rick Steves Tour and I chose this trip to get the lay of the land and to scout attractions that will need a closer look when planning future DIY trips. I have previously spent time in Switzerland and I really like their tram/train systems. I'm pretty easy going so I'll be going with the flow and am eagerly looking forward to eating like a local!

I'll be flying direct from Anchorage to Frankfurt where I'll be staying for a couple of days to get over jet lag and to look around. Then I'll be taking the train to Amsterdam/Haarlem for another couple of days prior to the start of the tour. After the tour I'll be staying in Paris for a couple of days, then take the train to Switzerland to visit friends. I'll be returning to Anchorage on the 23rd of June.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hi davey! Only 2 weeks to go!

I'm surprised more people have not responded to this post yet. Who else is going on this trip?

Hi Davey & hockmasm!

Our group of four is going. We will arrive a couple of days early and check in to the hotel in Haarlem. Our plans are to get over jet lag and try to hang out like locals before starting the tour. Our days between now and when we arrive will be jam-packed, so it will be nice to have a couple of days to relax before the tour - it looks very fast paced. I can't wait! I am looking forward to meeting all the tour members and getting to know everyone. If all the other RS tours I've read about are any indication, the other tour members are part of what makes RS tours special. See you soon!

Our group of four is also on the tour- sister/brother and spouses from Canada. We will meet in Amsterdam a couple of days early and are staying in Paris a couple of extra days, then taking the Chunnel to London and one couple is finishing off in Dublin. Bucket list trip for us!
