Traveling again after over a 3-yr hiatus. Arriving FCO from the US (Terminal 5?) to join Southern Italy tour. I can't remember where at the airport I bought my cheap-o Samsung phone (still works) & 1-month calling plan. Not sure if it was at a Vodaphone or TIM store. I'd like to buy a SIM card and usage minutes without getting lost before leaving the airport to hail a taxi to our Rome hotel.
Alternatively, considering taking Leonardo Express to Rome Termini & look for SIM store there before taking cab to hotel. Easy, clear directions for stores at either location would be appreciated. THANKS.
Hi Peg,
I may be wrong but Terminal 5 is just for departures to the US. You will likely be arriving at terminal 3 and my recollection is that there is no store in the arrivals part of Terminal 3. Not very informative I know, but that is what I recall. I never really looked for one at FCO.
roninrome.com gives info on this but it may be dated.
As you exit after baggage claim and go through customs control, turn right and there is a busy stand where you can get one.
