Thames Valley Police are investigating, but for now they have nothing to go on.

I believe the toilet theft left quite a hole. Thames Valley Police are looking into it.

After reading the article I knew it would bring out the potty-mouths.

This is pretty drastic Eric. Maybe Rick will let you change to another tour?!? I can confirm that you'll only spend a few hours here so the rest of the trip will make up for it.

As an aside, years ago when I took a 6 year old with me to England he finally stopped us on the walk to the tube stop and said why are there all those big bathroom signs saying "toilet". They actually said "To Let".

Will this thread be as long as the Atlantis thread?

CEO said, "We are saddened by this extraordinary event, but also relieved no one was hurt..."
I think it's probably best to save talk of being relieved for another day. In the meantime, travel on! Europe affords so many other golden opportunities.

Whole new meaning to 'port-a potty'

Just how big a back pack do they let visitors bring into the palace?

How in the world did they pull that off? I can only imagine how heavy it must be!

Frankly, I love responses to posts such as this. While I fell saddened by the loss of such a "piece of art" and all the damage its removal has caused, I do love reading all the clever responses posted by our community. I just wish I was clever, too! Eric, I doubt this will impact any future tours very much and the guides are very accomplished at finding alternate plans if it should still be closed.

Oh, gosh, where do we go from here?

Down the drain, I suppose

Artist should have made it out of iron, carbon and aluminium. No chance of anyone touching it then.

I read about the theft yesterday in the news and knew right away that I was going to get some laughs on the Forum today!
Thanks, everyone. This had to be an inside job. I can't imagine how many people it took to carry this thing out!

Eric, please keep us informed about the outcome so I can read some more of the Forum members hilarious comments!

Sure hope it is returned by next June. I am going to Blenheim then and this was at the top of my list.

Caught the thief. We can all be relieved that all’s well that ends well.
