Villages Turkey

Had anyone taken the R.S. "Villages of Turkey" tour when it was offered?

I took it in October 2011 and it was a great tour, but it hasn't been offered since. SRM ( a local agency in Turkey) led the tour. My guides were Lale and Yaren - both great guides. We covered the southwest coast and a mix of large cities, villages, and several archeological sites (Istanbul, Izmir, Ayvalik, Pergamum, Gallipoli, Assos/ Troy, Sardis, Ephesus, and Bodrum). Since it was a vast area, there was a lot of bus time but it was still enjoyable. Some of the villages were quite small and rural, and we sat around and talked to locals (with our guides doing the translation). If you have any questions send me a PM. I still have the itinerary although in PDF format, so I can jog my memory about the trip.

Agnes,

I received the "Villages" itinerary and it looks great. I need to find a tour company that has a similar tour.

Www.srmtravel.com will also lead private tours or facilitate local guides if you don’t find a group tour departing when you want it.
