My husband and I are going, our 5th RS tour and so excited to go back to Italy. Our favorite RS tour so far was Sicily in 2015. We are spending five nights in Slovenia before VI tour begins in Padua. Love to hear from other tour members! Just a little over two months to go!

We're going a week later on May 13th. We went on this tour 10 years ago and of the 6 RS Tours we've taken, it's our favorite. We spent 4 days in Venice before the tour last time, this time we are spending 4 days in Florence.
It is an active tour with all those hill towns and the trail between the villages in Cinque Terre. Fortunately we have a couple months to get our walking legs in shape :-)

We’re going on May 18th, after 3 nights in Venice. It’s our 6th RS tour and our third time to Italy. Can’t wait! Leave some gelato for us!

We will have to compare notes post tour. We have been to Italy on our own a few times but get so much more out of our guided trips with RS. And it’s so easy to have logistics taken care of and not have to drive in Italy. The wonderful guides and fellow travelers really add a lot of fun. I guess we’d better start training for the hill towns and the gelato!
We were going to spend a few days in Venice pre tour because we love Venice and have a great air bnb apartment that we found a few years ago. But our daughter offered to come with to show us her favorite country in Europe, Slovenia! So we get to see Slovenia with her! She then heads off to volunteer on a farm in northern Italy after dropping us in Padua.
Post tour we overnight in Milan then hop a scenic train over the Alps to Freiburg Germany to visit friends. Just will do a couple sights in Milan, the Duomo and the design center. We are probably gonna skip the Last Supper. I’m undecided about it. I know we need to get tickets in advance and about now.

I agree, my favorite tour of the 6 I have taken. I see these type posts every once in a while. Today for two different tours. I wonder why Rick Steves doesn't have a category here on the forum for folks who want to connect with others before the tour? If someone wanted to remain mostly anonymous they could private message the poster instead of replying directly to the question. I so often wish I knew some of my tour mates before I get the list of names, especially since I travel solo and would love to feel more comfortable at that initial meeting.

We will be on the Village Italy tour that starts on 4/22. Before the tour starts we will be in Padua for four nights at the tour hotel. Post tour includes a one night stay in Milan. Looking forward to our sixth RS tour.
