Hello everyone. I just wondered if anyone else here is signed up for the Village Italy tour 10/6 - 10/19 this year? Would be great to meet some fellow tour members ahead of time. My husband and I are counting down the days. We're so ready to go! Italy is my favorite European country! We are going to Venice for three days before the tour and dividing a week between Varenna on Lake Como and in Milan after the tour.

We’re taking the next tour after you, so we’re wondering where you arranged to stay in Venice and Varenna, if you don’t mind sharing. Also wondering how to get to Varenna after the tour.
Sorry we’re not on the same trip timing.

Hi, Mike. I'm sorry we won't be on the same trip too. In Venice, we're staying at Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo, and in Varenna we're staying at Albergo Milano. We're planning to coordinate with the tour guide to get transportation to Milan Centrale after the tour and take the train from there to Varenna. There doesn't seem to be a more direct route to Varenna from where the tour ends at Lake Orta.

We're planning to coordinate with the tour guide to get transportation to Milan Centrale after the tour and take the train from there to Varenna.
The guide will help everyone get transportation out of Lake Orta. Most people are going to the airport so we shared a taxi there and then took the Malpensa Express train to Milano Centrale.

Village Italy is one of the best tours of the 10 RS tours I've taken! And if anyone has Anna Pipeto as their guide she was outstanding! Enjoy!

You will love this tour. We won’t be joining you, as we did it in early June this year. Christine was our guide and was wonderful. She arranged transport to Milan after the tour end for us. These were six of us staying an extra night at Lake Orta so she arranged a van, it was super easy! I could go back to Lucca and stay for a month! Our favorite tour of three we have done so far. Heading to Croatia in October for #4!

For those on this tour, our docs are posted so we have guide name, tour mates, and hotels - no email yet, but it is under your account...I was snooping there yesterday and found it!
