I am wondering if anyone else has this planned and if you will be staying in Venice for any pre-tour nights? I decided on 3 pre-tour nights in Venice. It will be my second time in Venice and my third time in Italy. I love the Village Italy itinerary and haven't been to most of the locations on the tour. It also seems that we will be closest to the Malpensa MXP in Milan for flights after the tour, and that the tour guide can assist in getting transportation from Lake Orta to the airport on the last day of the tour. This will be my first RS Tour and I'm excited to join the fun.

We’ve been on 3 RS tours and they always help point you in the right direction with getting back to the airport. The guide always asks a few days prior to departure on next steps; finding out who needs to get to the airport etc. But we always do research before our trip to see what kind of options there are.

We were on the tour last fall and the guide asked for everyone's departure plans/times a few days before the end and grouped people into taxis she reserved. My understanding is this is the norm for the tour.

I am doing this tour 9/8-9/21, starting in Venice and adding on Lyon, France and Paris for 5 days.
