Versailles Opera House

I’m taking a RS Best of Paris tour which includes a guided visit to Versailles. My desire is to view the opera house too. Is it part of his guided tour? If not, is there a way to view the opera house on my own?

I will ask RS but has anyone seen the inside of the opera house. If so, how?

I looked at the Versailles website and the only tours that I saw of the opera house were in French. I doubt that they would be included. It would be neat to see it. When is your Best of Paris tour? My husband and I are taking this tour September 10. I think we will be putting a lot of miles on our feet that day. We are very interested in the gardens as well as the buildings.

Hi Janet, that's what I saw too. The opera house is only included on French tours. I have been to Versailles before so I'm considering in skipping the included RS tour and taking the French tour. Note, I said considering because my big negative is that I do not speak French. I want to see the opera house but now I have to decide how much! We also plan to spend the entire day there. So much to see and do.

I'm not sure, but I think we saw this when we took the Kings Apartment tour. It was the last stop, a large theatre. We were seated and the quide took questions before we ended the tour and exited close to the hall of mirrors.

Thanks Denny,
I did send an email to Versailles but they replied back as to how to see the church. Maybe the opera house doors will open long enough for me to peek in.
