UBC Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver (proper, not island) is a must-see. Also, the island of Haida Gwaii has a rich indigenous heritage, but it's quite isolated. Look on the BC website (https://www.hellobc.com/places-to-go/haida-gwaii) or your local library, there are excellent planning resources out there. Six days is a bit short, so that's why a good book will really help you narrow down.
