Where is your Rick Steves tour in April? We took a RS tour of England this past May and then took a RS tour of Germany, Austria and Switzerland in early September. I know what you mean about being excited. Having a trip to look forward to is fun, but it's hard to wait. Having 3-4 months between our two trips was just about right. We were able to enjoy England and then had time to get excited about Germany. Of course, thinking about the cool mountains in Switzerland helped us get through the hot Texas summer. Is this your first Rick Steves tour, or are you a veteran? Enjoy your travels!

Janet - Sorry for the delay. Ha Ha. Guess I never saw a comment added to my thread. I put my final payment in todays mail for Belgium/Holland 11 days trip. This will be my 2nd RS tour and my husband's 1st. We leave out of Tulsa in about three months. Woot Woot.

Not sure which RS tour is on next agenda.

Hey, Kim, Hi neighbor! We did the Belgium -Holland trip a few years ago, and we loved it. We're going on the Villages of South England trip in May. We still need to think about starting up a Rick Steves travel group in Tulsa.

Enjoy your trip!

I hope you will be in Holland to see Keukenhof gardens. That is on my bucket list to visit. We stayed on the Rhine river before we started our GAS tour last September. the Rhine is beautiful. There are so many castles between Koln and Düsseldorf, you won't be able to keep track of all of the names.

We will have to be satisfied with touring in the US and Canada this year after 2 RS tours last year. My husband got burned out on the long airplane rides. So we are driving from Texas to Banff and Jasper in Canada. Lots of driving, but incredible scenery. Hopefully I'll convince him to head across the pond again soon. There are so many places in Europe as well as the US that we want to visit! Enjoy your tours!

Sorry, I read your post incorrectly. You are going on the Danube not the Rhine. We saw parts of it on our tour last fall, but didn't have any stops. I'm sure it will be beautiful as well. I've heard lots of great things about your particular tour.
